The International Orphans Foundation (IOF) was established in 2000 by Glenn Russo, who expanded his own adoptive experience into an even greater opportunity to serve God.
After participation in other humanitarian programs, Glenn realized not every one of the world’s countless orphans will be adopted. He sought to ensure all orphans would have someone close by to care for their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Headquartered in Connecticut (USA), IOF is a licensed non-profit 501c3 Christian faith based organization.
From 2000 to 2007, IOF focused on orphan adoption. While many orphans were welcomed into permanent homes and loving families during that time, IOF has since focused on sponsorship of orphans in Christian family-style children’s homes.
In April of 2008 first Children’s Home was opened in Barwani, India. By the spring of 2009, eleven more Children’s Homes had been established throughout the country. In 2010, IOF opened its India Headquarters in New Delhi.
